Babies First Trip To The Dentist

On Tuesday, we took Jasper to the dentist for the first time. In the UK, it is recommended that babies first go to the dentist when their first tooth appears, the main reasons for this are so they get familiar with the idea of going to the dentist and so the dentist can give parents advise about looking after their children’s teeth. Jasper hasn’t actually got a tooth yet so we were a little early in taking him but as we were due check ups ourselves we thought the dentist might as well have a peek at his gums too.

Help With A Teething Baby

Over the past week Jasper has been sleeping pretty terribly and waking up quite regularly in the night. So the other morning I went out for an early morning stroll to the shop so he could catch up on his sleep and I could try and wake up for the day!

I’m pretty sure the reason for his sleep is because of teething (he has little red cheeks and so much drool during the day, bless him!). So far we have been using a sophie the giraffe teething toy and cold cucumber sticks to help him with the pain, but I would love to know any other tips you have to help a teething baby!

Thanks for reading, Jen x
