Firstly, apologies for the lack of posts over here for the last few weeks! Between mumming and working there hasn’t been much time left for blogging, but I’m hoping to change that. I have a couple of interesting posts lined up for the next few days about Jasper’s first steps, some porridge topping ideas and a summary of the #othermothers summer instagram challenge, quite a mix of topics!!
Jaspy enjoying the warm weather in his make shift paddling pool!
I have been tagged by the lovely Beauty Of My Chaotic Mind to answer 73 questions from Vogue’s video series. The series basically asks celebrities 73 questions whilst getting an insight in to their lives and it has now reached the blogging world. This is a bit of a different post from me but I hope you enjoy getting to know a bit more about me and I would love to read your answers to these questions if you would like to take part!
Happy second father’s day to Jasper’s daddy, the best daddy I know! I love how silly these two are together all the time and I love that they have such a close relationship.
A natural selfie. I would never normally feel comfortable posting a picture without any make up on and with my hair looking such a mess especially without Jasper there as a distraction.
But to support #FilteredLives I have decided just to go for it. This campaign is to help @GetawayGirlsLeeds spread the message that you are beautiful as you are.
Just a quick post today to wish all you special mummy’s a happy mother’s day, whether you are pregnant, trying for a baby, a grandma, a mum to one or a mum to many you are doing a great job! Sometimes, usually on days where I am so tired from being up all night with Jasper, I wonder if I am doing a good enough job of motherhood but then I see how happy he is and think I must be doing something right. I also want to say a big thank you to my mum for showing me how to be a great mum and for being the best grandma to Jasper!
Hi! Firstly apologies for the silence over here, me and Jasper have had the flu and Jasper’s went on to his chest so he ended up needed antibiotics for a chest infection. So we have spent the last couple of week’s having lots of cuddles and watching too much Paw Patrol whilst being surrounded by tissues. We are just about on the mend now so I am looking forward to posting on here again.
I can’t believe this big boy will be 9 months old tomorrow! It has definitely felt much faster than being pregnant (although Jasper wasn’t born for another 16 days after this was taken) and I have loved every minute of being a mum!
I hope you are all having a lovely Valentine’s Day with who ever is special to you; children, other halves, pals or gals! I have spent the day with this little man at a Tiny Talk class and going for a walk in the sun (it’s finally starting to feel like spring, hopefully it lasts because I am so ready for warmer weather!). Now we are just waiting for daddy to come home so we can have a veggie sausage roast for tea.
A slightly blurry Jasper because he is always on the move!
Hi guys, so this post was inspired by this week’s #mblogchat. The topic of the chat was all about self care and it was really nice to speak to some lovely ladies all about how we try and look after ourselves (easier said than done with little ones!). The last question of the chat was to set ourselves a challenge for the week ahead so I set my goal to try and set aside some time to work on Jasper’s birth sampler. I thought by setting this goal and now writing a blog post on it, it would really motivate me to do some stitching.
Jasper’s Birth Sampler So Far.
I bought Jasper’s birth sampler when I was about 20 weeks pregnant, before I knew if he was a boy or a girl, and started it shortly after I got it. I really loved the design and it matches quite well with the theme of his nursery. Before Jasper was born I would work on his sampler quite a bit but recently I haven’t progressed with it as much.
My plan is now that I have posted it on here, it will inspire me to make time to work on it more, and hopefully I will have another update to post soon. So far this week I have managed to put some stitches in to the horse square, so far so good! I find stitching really relaxing so it would probably be good to try and work on it a bit more and I would really love to have it finished for Jasper.
I would love to know if you have ever made a birth sampler or if there are any you like.
Hi Guys, this week has been quite a full on mum week because Baby Jasper has had a cold. It started on Monday really after quite a restless Sunday nights sleep (he doesn’t normally sleep great but this was even more disturbed). He wanted more milk during the night than normal so I guess it was to up his fluids to help him feel better. He then spent all of Monday sneezing a lot and being very snuffly and he also had two naps that were quite long for him (just over an hour). But despite being ill, he seemed in pretty good spirits so we decided to go out for a walk to get some fresh air and pop in to the library and to the park. I’ve included a picture of Jasper looking less than impressed on our walk below.
