Sushi Bites – Snack Inspiration – Healthy Toddler Meal Idea

Sushi bites, some snack inspiration for you which can be shared as a healthy toddler meal idea too (a bonus rhyme!). This is a super simple recipe with just 2 main ingredients. But it can be easily jazzed up with different fillings to give it different flavours and get your little one used to different tastes. Sea weed can be quite a difficult food to include in your diet so this are a great way to include this sea vegetable that is a good source of iodine. Depending on the age of your toddler this is also a fun activity to get them involved in making.

Courgette, Banana and Almond Butter Muffins – Healthy Snack Inspiration – Plant Based Recipe

Healthy snack inspiration; courgette, banana and almond butter muffins. This plant based recipe includes a vegetable, fruit and a source of healthy fats, so it is ideal for fuelling your little ones with energy. They are really tasty and can be made with sugar to make them a healthy treat or without sugar so they taste more like banana bread. The muffins can be batch cooked and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and in the freezer for up to a month, which is really convenient and handy when you need a healthy snack quickly.

Black Bean Burger Recipe – Healthy Family Meal Idea

Black beans are a great plant based source of protein as well as being high in fibre and they also contain good amounts of magnesium and potassium. So I thought I would share my current favourite burger recipe made using them because I think they are a great healthy summer food. I find black beans are one of the best legumes to make burgers out of because they mash well which makes them easy to shape.

Jasper loves these burgers as well because they can be made in to bite sized pieces that he can feed to himself so I know your little ones would like them too!

This recipe would serve 3 to 4 people depending on their appetite.

What I Eat Whilst Breastfeeding and What My 10 Month Old Eats In A Day

Hey! I’ve not written a ‘What I Eat In A Day’ post for a while and I really enjoyed doing the last one so I thought write an updated version. Jasper has actually just turned 11 months but I took these pictures about a week ago when he was still 10 months old and not much has really changed in how he eats in that time. I am still breastfeeding Jasper but he is having much less feeds than the previous post, although still quite a few, and I am slowly trying to wean him more. Me and Jasper eat basically the same meals now so I have also included what he eats. It’s usually presented slightly differently but its pretty much the same as what I have cooked for myself. If you want to know how Jasper’s eating has changed, I wrote this post of what Jasper ate when he was 6 months old.

What My 6 Month Old Baby Eats in a Day

Hi everyone! Following on from my previous two posts here and here all about preparing babies first foods, I thought it would be good to share what Baby Jasper eats in a day now that he is 6 months old. From the previous posts you will now that he has been weaning on to solid food since he was just older than 4 months. I now offer him 3 meals a day with milk on demand as well. It can be a bit hit and miss with how much he eats each time, sometimes all and sometimes nothing and sometimes just the finger food or just the mashed food! I hope you find it interesting seeing what he eats on a typical day.
