Jasper’s First Birthday – Baby Turns 1

Today Jaspy turned 1! I can’t believe I am actually writing this post the year has gone by so quickly, the phrase “the days are long but the years are short” really is true. It doesn’t seem like 2 minutes since he was born but it also feels like he has been with us forever. It’s been a really amazing year watching my baby grow in to the most loving and funny little boy he is now!

Over the last few days we have done a couple of things to celebrate Jasper’s birthday. Jasper and me have been out for lunch with one of his friends that he made in playgroup. They were super cute together and kept giving each other kisses.
We have also been to a dinosaur crazy golf course with daddy and grandma and spent time with family.

So what’s Jasper like as he turns 1? He is just the sweetest little boy, always giving out kisses to us, his friends, the baby in the mirror and his cuddly toys. He loves food and milk but still tries to defy sleep during the night. He is super funny, loves to invent little games, play chase and read lots of books. Jasper has just 2 little teeth at the bottom and he knows a couple of body parts now like toes, nose and eyes.

Since my last Jasper update post, he has started to walk with his walker (it’s a zebra and he seems to really love it). He prefers to use this and furniture rather than holding my hand or walking on his own at the moment. He also had his first hair cut a few weeks ago to trim the hair around his ears and neck ready for the summer.

It really has been an amazing year with Jaspy and I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for my little boy. But for now I am going to try and get as many baby cuddles in as I can!
